A bad start

So I wake up check up on the new neighbors and see this-

Not a good way to start wormhole life.

The attackers now want to evict us.  Time to pull out the batphone?  Or negotiation...hmm...

Bother I have to log and go to work now.

Quick Deathrace recap, and explodiness

So I made it to the very end of the Deathrace, it was quite a bit of fun.

I was flying a shield Astarte, and since I knew I would die somewhere, I stocked it with booze, tobacco and dancers.  I then jumped into a fresh clone and headed for the starting system.

First gate was camped by several smartbombing battleships, which worried me for a moment as traffic control kicked in and I ended up waiting 30 seconds to jump out - I wasn't taking any damage though.  I gradually fell behind the leaders in the slow Astarte - fleet chat was lively.

Tidi kicked in a few times, but nothing too bothersome.  Poetic Stanziel was getting annoying though for his needlessly harsh criticism of the organization of the race - he was podded shortly before the end.

Last jump was into a nullsec system, and to nobody's surprise it was heavily bubbled and camped.  The Astarte fell to heavy fire from multiple pilots, including Ripard Teg.  For some reason the lossmail is not showing up on the killboards.  I did make it to the final can before getting the pod express back to hisec.

This morning I made my way back to the hole after getting back into my proteus, logged and went to work.  While there we had someone move in and setup a tower - an industrial pilot.  At least this one actually scouted and saw our towers and took the risk of setting up shop - as opposed to several others in the past who never bothered to check for existing towers.

On the last note - I was making PI runs to catch up for lost time outside the hole and got nabbed by a daredevil, goodbye Viagra Incident.

I will try to post the Astarte manually, or anyone who got on the killmail please try to post it :)

And finally, a picture of the last gate!

Deathrace 2013

Details are over at http://eveoganda.blogspot.com/p/deathrace-2013.html

Should I be able to block out enough time, I too plan to join the race.  Being that this is very last minute, my choices of ship are going to be limited.   I don't plan on winning anything, but the experience itself will be more fun than watching the exit.

I wonder if I should update my clone...

Dumping the hitchiker

I was woken up by my phone bleating a txt message from Slade to come help collapse the static.  Turns out our guest was had scanned the exit just before Slade could and was out in hisec.  When she came back in Slade was waiting for her in a thorax specially fitted to take care of her.

Popped and podded, we quickly set to collapsing the static before he got back.  Slade had already made a few trips through in a battleship, so my mass calculations were a bit off when I shoved the orca through - jumping back left Slade stranded in hisec.  Just in time too, not a minute after the exit vanished Lawrabeth was back in the hisec system with another heron, only to find the wormhole was gone.  Probed out the new exit for Slade to come back home and stowed everything - we had 3 other exits open at the time.

I then promptly logged and took a nap.

Notes:  Lawrabeth had never attempted to contact us, her only words in local were 'Ransom?' when her first heron was killed earlier in the week from a helpful person from an incoming C2 (They were nice enough to combat probe her out before I could, so I just watched dscan).
If you're in our system for a week and don't talk or mail any of us, we presume you are hostile and will be dealt with accordingly.

Cake day

Today marks 4 years that I've been a member of TEMT, about a month after I first started playing Eve.

Rats in the cellar

It's been relatively quiet in here, despite RL issues keeping me busy.

It appears we have picked up a hitchhiker though, we keep seeing a Heron belonging to a 1 year old player lurking about.  Couple days ago he was probing in a safe spot and an incoming C2 spewed out a couple of ships that combat probes him and popped him.

Turns out he came back in yet another heron...too bad the executioner didn't pod him.  We will assume any connections have been opened for the meantime, until he gets either bored or we manage to pod him and collapse the static.

Although...he's gotten smarter and cloaks up while scanning, after getting his first heron got shot up.
